Restoration of a 2005–2006 Lido 14 sailboat and a 1969 Seaflite 179SS ski boat involves hull maintenance, rigging replacement, and mechanical conversion. The Lido 14, manufactured by the WD Shock Company, required a full hull sanding to 320 grit, replacement of the forestay and shrouds due to UV degradation, and the addition of new battens.7:19 The boat was launched and sea-trialed on the Petaluma River, where it demonstrated stable performance in gusts before being sold to a new owner in Newport, California.2:26 The 1969 Seaflite 179SS, originally equipped with an inboard Mercury engine, underwent a conversion to an outboard motor to resolve chronic overheating issues.8:00 Restoration of the ski boat included installing a permanent fuel tank, a folding bimini top, and interior trim.9:41 Both vessels were refurbished during the 2020 COVID-19 quarantine period.
