The crew of *Parlay Revival* upgrades their tender to a new Highfield dinghy, installing two 12-volt, 3,000-pound electric winches on the coach roof to assist with lifting the heavier craft.4:47 The winches, powered by the main halyard winch circuit, use Dyneema lines to reduce the load on the existing davits by approximately 70 percent.5:08 During installation, the crew encountered remote control signal interference and incorrect winch orientation, requiring them to unbolt and rotate the units to ensure the lines pull from the bottom of the drum.7:13

Separately, the crew addresses feedback regarding their upcoming aluminum catamaran build.11:20 They are currently evaluating the hydrodynamic impact of adding skegs to protect props and rudders.12:04 While they have not yet secured a build location, they have ruled out Vietnam due to restrictive labor and visa regulations.15:19 The project will prioritize an internal helm with a sliding window to allow for navigation in extreme climates like the Northwest Passage or Antarctica, while maintaining a flybridge for temperate conditions.15:16
