The Nauticat 33 is a masthead ketch motorsailer designed by W. Aarnipalo and built by Siltala Yachts from 1967 to 1996. It measures 10.1 meters LOA with a 3.2-meter beam, a 1.6-meter draft, and displaces 7824 kg. The Nauticat 33 was Siltala's first and most successful model, with a raised aft deck offered as an option starting in 1977. Aboard *Halcyon Yachts - International Yacht Delivery*, a Nauticat 33 named Stornella completed an 1,800-mile, 15-day delivery from Oban to Lanzarote.6:10 Aboard *cruisincasa*, a Nauticat 33 motorsailed from Egg Island to Little Harbor, Abaco, maintaining 6 knots with a jib and mizzen, running its 90-horsepower engine at 1,200 RPM.0:06 The same crew later completed a 231-nautical-mile passage from the Bahamas to St. Augustine, Florida, in 36 hours and 50 minutes, averaging 6.3 knots while motor-sailing in 10-to-12-foot following seas and reaching 11 knots surfing waves.15:19 The crew used the pilot house for protection during squalls and noted the boat's capability as a motorsailer in heavy seas, despite difficulty achieving efficient pure sailing performance.5:43
