Living aboard a Delta 26 sailboat in Salvador, Brazil, offers a lifestyle centered on minimalism, environmental awareness, and intentional time management. Anchored at a pier near the Forte São Marcelo, the resident manages daily life by balancing remote work as a financial director with the logistical demands of a small vessel, including water tank maintenance, gas supply, and waste management.2:47 The boat features a two-burner stove, a custom-built refrigerator, and a compact interior that converts into sleeping quarters.3:51 While the vessel requires constant upkeep—ranging from engine maintenance to cleaning—the owner views these tasks as part of a rewarding, self-sufficient existence.11:12 The location provides access to natural swimming areas and a supportive community of fellow sailors.3:24 Professionally, the owner transitioned into the waste management sector, advocating for the transformation of solid waste into raw materials and energy.15:32 The experience highlights that while living on a boat demands significant effort and organization, it provides greater freedom and time for personal growth compared to traditional land-based living.7:26
