Bobby takes a brand-new, unsold Island Spirit 410 catamaran out of Pattaya, Thailand, for a week-long cruise while his own Island Spirit 525E awaits factory completion, with an April 3rd delivery date.0:05 The 410, a 2026 model priced at $595,000 as equipped — discounted to $531,000 for Sailing Doodles viewers — is walked through in detail before departure.10:26 The tour covers an open-concept cockpit with optional wall and air conditioning, 800 watts of solar, B&G electronics with autopilot and chart plotter, hydraulic steering, a Selden electric winch, twin Yanmar engines with panel-mounted gauges, 10 kWh of lithium batteries (Roy Pal system), a watermaker driven off the port engine, and a master cabin plus forward cabin layout with a single head per hull.2:10 Bobby and Chloe sail to Koh Larn (Cologne) in the Gulf of Thailand, covering the roughly one-hour passage at 7.5–8.2 knots in 17 knots of true wind on a beam reach.12:21 Koh Larn is busy with day-trip boats until around 5:30 p.m. but calms overnight; stray dogs on the beach are noted as a hazard ashore.16:16 Hydraulic steering's advantage — the wheel stays still when the autopilot is engaged — is demonstrated underway.14:15
