Lee, co-owner of the sailing vessel Catalpa, undergoes a hair transplant procedure at EMP Clinics in Istanbul, Turkey, after the clinic extended an all-expenses-paid trip that originally brought the couple to attend the Bosphorus Cup sailing race.10:14 The transplant involves 4,046 grafts moved from a dense donor area at the back of Lee's head to a receding hairline at the front.25:02 Local anesthetic causes the only significant pain; Lee's pain threshold impresses the clinic staff.24:29 Sarah receives a facial and a dermatology consultation for sun-damaged skin.23:54 The couple also attempts dental work but learns a full course of treatment would require a week-long stay, so that is deferred.21:41 Post-procedure instructions prohibit boatwork and side-sleeping for 10 days and require a clinic wash the following morning.28:12 Hair transplant costs in Turkey run roughly $3,000–$5,000 compared to $10,000–$15,000 in the United States.36:30 The Bosphorus Cup itself is covered briefly: the crew watches practice races and the first race day from a private yacht on the Bosphorus Strait, alongside sailors from MJ Sailing, Hannah Sailing, and Untied.0:57 The couple flies back via New York and Phoenix, approximately 18 hours of travel, with Catalpa's rigging refit waiting on hold.39:06
