After 12 years on the hard, the 38-ft aluminum sailboat *Nomad* launches in Saint Petersburg, Florida, following a refit that includes the installation of a welded aluminum standpipe for a new air conditioning system.7:56 The fabrication team at The Yacht Rigger welds the standpipe above the waterline to allow for future plumbing maintenance without the risk of flooding.6:17 Following a successful leak check after the splash, the host attempts to start the vessel’s Yanmar 3JH4E engine for the first time in over a decade.10:53 The engine starts but immediately enters a runaway condition, forcing an emergency shutdown.16:42 A technician determines that the high-pressure fuel pump governor bellows likely seized, causing an unmitigated fuel flow.17:26 The assembly is removed for professional repair.17:39 The host also announces the winners of an Epoch battery giveaway for channel subscribers.18:00
