The 43-tonne vessel Brewpeg undergoes a haul-out in Gladstone, Australia, to prepare for an upcoming voyage along the east coast.8:06 Before the lift, the owner fabricates new 316 stainless steel skin fittings for the sink, shower, and washing machine drains, welding them to schedule 40 pipe to improve accessibility and maintenance.0:45 Maneuvering the vessel into the travel lift basin proves difficult due to significant marine growth on the propeller, which causes excessive prop walk and prevents the boat from steering straight in reverse.10:28 Without a bow thruster, the crew relies on wind drift and precise forward-and-reverse thrusting to align the vessel against the wharf, eventually securing it with lines to the jetty.13:08 Once hauled, the yard uses a high-pressure water blaster to remove heavy growth from the hull, saving the crew several days of manual sanding.19:57 The project faces a strict timeline to complete hull painting before a forecasted weather window of heavy rain closes.25:04
