A teaser for a seminar on sailing storytelling and long-form video distribution, featuring Lin Pardey and Tori Salvia. Pardey recounts meeting Salvia roughly 14 years earlier at the Annapolis Boat Show, where he pitched TheSailingChannel.TV as a platform for sailors and existing video producers to earn ongoing revenue through what he called "the long tail" — the idea that videos sold in small amounts year after year accumulate meaningful income beyond the initial release.Watch Pardey had four videos at the time and worried their age (some made 15 years prior) would hurt sales; Salvia argued viewers care about content quality, not production date.1:04 Salvia describes the seminar as covering storytelling across multiple formats — articles, books, blogs, and video — with contributors drawn from experienced sailors.2:07 No technical sailing, navigation, or passage content appears; the focus is video production, content distribution strategy, and the business model behind a sailing media platform.
