Anissia and Tom face a series of critical equipment failures on their sailboat, leading them to reconsider their planned voyage to Patagonia.17:23 Recent technical issues include a failed MPPT solar regulator, a broken autopilot remote control, and a malfunctioning refrigerator compressor that drains the battery bank.2:52 The couple also discovered that three solar panels installed one year ago are non-functional, and their two-year-old service batteries require replacement.16:37 Beyond electrical problems, they are addressing a leaking bathroom seal and replacing a stiff toilet pump.14:09 Anissia attempted to sew custom cockpit cushions using Sunbrella fabric, while Tom performed repairs on the autopilot control unit and the mizzen sail hardware.5:53 These cumulative maintenance challenges have forced the owners to question the vessel's reliability for high-latitude sailing and consider delaying their long-distance plans in favor of more moderate passages to build confidence in the boat.17:28 The crew is taking a short break from repairs to recover from physical exhaustion and health issues.19:44
