Nick instructs a student on the fundamental operation of a DJI Mavic 2 drone in a controlled, windless environment.0:02 The lesson focuses on three primary skill sets: manual and automatic takeoff and landing, basic flight maneuvers, and camera control.0:26 The student practices moving the drone vertically, horizontally, and rotationally to build confidence in the aircraft's responsiveness.0:45 The session also covers the gimbal controls, recording functions, and the interpretation of warning signals displayed on the controller.1:10 The training utilizes the full 29-minute battery life of the drone to ensure familiarity with the interface before attempting more complex filming.1:20 Mastering basic flight controls in an open, low-risk area reduces the anxiety associated with initial drone operation and prepares the pilot for capturing footage during travel.
