Maya announces a two-week posting pause, with Sailing Magic Carpet returning July 24th with a single longer episode covering the full inside passage run from Vancouver to Prince Rupert, British Columbia.0:49 That episode launches the "South to the Sun" series, which will document Magic Carpet sailing from Prince Rupert south along the BC coast to Mexico, posted weekly.0:30 Maya chose Prince Rupert as the series starting point to capture the full length of the coastal voyage rather than departing directly from Vancouver.0:57

During the break, Maya highlights three past series.1:53 The first, "My $1 Boat," follows an 18-year-old Maya living aboard and learning to maintain a sailboat named Curlew, recently confirmed lost.2:14 The second is a three-part series on Aladino building a rowing dinghy in one month over Christmas, which also marked Maya's first use of on-camera interviews to drive narrative — a technique she carried into all subsequent refit content.3:40 The third, "North Through the Continent," documents Magic Carpet's 2,000-kilometer, 200-lock transit from the Mediterranean to the North Sea through European inland waterways in winter 2019, cut short by the pandemic.5:17 That series was also the first season Maya and Aladino committed to full-time video production.8:16
