The crew of the 53-foot aluminum catamaran *Delos 2.0* is installing the vessel's primary electrical system in a forward technical space.Watch To optimize the layout of approximately 20 components—including two 5,000-watt Quattro inverters, an isolation transformer, an auto-transformer, and various DC-to-DC chargers—the team uses cardboard templates to map positions on the bulkhead.2:30 The installation plan incorporates a digital switching network for voice-controlled power management, while maintaining a parallel manual override system using standard breakers to ensure critical loads like the stove and water heater remain functional if the digital network fails.22:53

The team welds aluminum brackets to the bulkhead to support the hardware, utilizing a drill-and-tap method to secure components without needing nuts on the reverse side.20:48 They apply Tefgel to prevent galvanic corrosion between stainless steel fasteners and the aluminum structure.17:08 The design accounts for cable raceways and door clearance for breaker boxes.11:58 The project emphasizes balancing high-tech automation with redundant, accessible manual controls for off-grid reliability.
