Cosa tratta questo video
The GoPro 12's repeated overheating shutdowns — often before 30 minutes of recording — drove Amy and Shane to test the AKASO BRAVE8 as a replacement while sailing the Caribbean.0:37 At $289 with accessories included, the BRAVE8 costs roughly half the GoPro 12's price and bundles a remote, head mount, chest mount, tripod, float, and bike mount that GoPro charges extra for.6:20 The BRAVE8 shoots 4K60 video, 48-megapixel stills (versus the GoPro 12's 27 megapixels), and time-lapse up to 8K; battery life runs about 90 minutes at 4K.3:15 In extended use, it produced no overheating, no shutdowns, and no lost footage.6:10 Image stabilization in Normal mode (available in-camera at 4K30) performs adequately; Super Smooth mode requires uploading footage to the AKASO app for post-processing, adding significant editing time.7:29 The cage-mounted attachment system is a liability — lose or break the cage and no accessories can mount.6:55 Audio is the BRAVE8's weakest point: wind noise at 15–20 mph overwhelms both stereo and human modes, and the camera cannot accept a wireless aftermarket microphone.8:50 For saltwater sailing conditions where gear takes a beating, the lower price makes the BRAVE8 a practical primary camera or GoPro companion.10:08
