The Oceanic 46 is a cutter-rigged sailboat designed by Ted Brewer, with construction supervised in Taiwan by Pan Oceanic founder Robert Pancoe from 1980 until approximately 1983. It features a fin keel with a rudder on skeg, measures 13.9 meters LOA, has a 4.1-meter beam, 1.8-meter draft, and displaces 15,195 kg. The model is also known as the Pan Oceanic 46, Mao Ta 46, and generically as the Brewer 46; the SEASTAR 460 is a nearly identical design built later. Aboard Plan-Sea, a crew inspecting an Oceanic 46 in Florida found significant engine oil leaks during a pre-purchase inspection, leading them to reject the vessel.
