Hva denne videoen dekker

The crew of the 38-ft sailboat Yabá completes a 282-nautical-mile passage from Florianopolis to Ilhabela, Brazil, marking the vessel's first major voyage following a complete rebuild. Facing a strict deadline to meet a guest, the crew departs despite unfavorable wind forecasts, resulting in a trip composition of approximately 50% motoring, 40% motor-sailing, and 10% pure sailing. During the first night, the crew encounters heavy following seas that wash over the solar panels, prompting the decision to keep the engine running for maneuverability and safety. The vessel utilizes Starlink for connectivity and a projector for entertainment during calm stretches. To manage the dogs on board, the crew uses a tarp covered in sand to create a designated relief area. The engine's cooling system and the newly installed boiler perform reliably throughout the journey. The passage confirms that while the boat remains capable in rough conditions, sailing on a rigid deadline limits the ability to wait for favorable weather windows.
