Alex and Cory spent 41 days traveling 390 nautical miles along the Florida Intracoastal Waterway, transiting from Jacksonville to Key Largo and returning to Pumpkin Key. The crew relied primarily on motoring due to bridge constraints and light winds, consuming diesel at a rate of 0.5 gallons per hour. Total fuel expenses reached $142. Because they anchored exclusively or tied to dolphin poles in Port Canaveral, dockage costs totaled zero. Food expenses amounted to $505, supplemented by occasional meals with family. Alcohol expenditures reached $201, while boat-related maintenance, including two-stroke oil and materials for a solar panel mount, cost $203. Miscellaneous spending of $426 covered fishing gear, laundry, stamps, a $30 U.S. customs decal, and donations to Gumbo Limbo Park. The total expenditure for the 41-day period was $1,477.
