The crew departs Otranto, Italy, at 8 a.m. for a 12-to-13-hour crossing of the Otranto Strait to Greece. Initial conditions include 10 to 15 knots of wind with no swell, which later increases to 15 to 20 knots with a moderate swell. The crew prepares meals in advance to avoid galley work during the passage and secures the boat for the baby, Nora. A Greek e-sim provides connectivity for work meetings mid-passage. Upon reaching the Ionian Sea, the crew bypasses the island of Athoni due to forecasted funneling winds in the channel and proceeds to the island of Errakoosa. They anchor at 9 p.m. after sailing the entire distance without using the engine. Future plans include island hopping through the Ionian toward Corfu, Paxos, or the Greek mainland.
