As sunset approaches, the decision arises whether to anchor for the night or continue the passage. The sailor chooses to maintain course through the night, aiming to reach Delta Ville by morning to anchor and await sunrise before entering the marina. To manage the overnight transit, the crew reefs the sails and prepares for a forecasted wind shift that promises improved progress. Although the autopilot emits concerning mechanical noises, it remains operational, allowing the skipper to rest while monitoring the vessel. The sea state moderates slightly as night falls, reducing the amount of water washing over the deck.
