A short-form "pillola" (pill) update from Max and Ale aboard Y2K, a Beneteau Oceanis 50, sailing in Fiji. The passage runs through the narrow strait between Vanualevu and Taveuni, where a 3-knot opposing current against the wind kicks up 1-meter confused chop and cuts boat speed to 3–4 knots. The crew performs the sevusevu ceremony, the traditional Fijian kava ritual required when arriving at a new village or anchorage. They then reach Paradise Resort, hailing it on VHF channel 16 — the same resort that had turned them away on a previous visit. A resort representative arrives by kayak to direct them to a mooring.
