Hva denne videoen dekker

Kent Blair repairs the hull of a 1965 Alcort Sunfish named Wave by installing closed-cell extruded polystyrene foam blocks. He secures the blocks using Total Boat flotation foam, sourced from Jamestown Distributors, which expands significantly upon mixing. To ensure proper placement, he taps the foam blocks into position with a rubber mallet while the boat rests on its chine and deck edge, supported by a work dolly and lines. The foam provides moisture resistance, though he notes that prolonged water exposure over a full season can eventually compromise the material. After the foam cures, he plans to trim the excess material and reinstall the edge trim. The process demonstrates that using a smaller volume of two-part foam than initially anticipated prevents excessive overflow, though excess material remains easy to carve away once dry.0:07
