Tim, host of Sailing Into the Mystic, was stabbed three times in the leg at Valle de Los Angeles, Baja California, Mexico, after a man named Alexander Mudanyaki attacked him with half a pair of poultry scissors he had split apart to create a blade. The incident followed two confrontations the same evening: first, Alexander head-butted crew member Mark during a beachside gathering, splitting his lip and nearly knocking out his front teeth; hours later, Alexander charged at full speed toward Tim and the group as they walked near the beach to check on Into the Mystic.7:20 Tim stepped in front of his companions, was stabbed as they fell to the ground, and fought for the weapon while Alexander bit his hand to force him to release it.17:05 A crew member kicked Alexander in the head, ending the struggle.19:24 Alexander fled in his girlfriend's black Jeep, crashed it on the dirt road out of camp — cracking the oil pan, damaging the radiator, and destroying the front end — and left the area.20:11 The weapon was turned over to local police.20:00 A Mexican court order for Alexander's detention was pending but slow, and Alexander had already left town.0:35 The crew released security camera footage, party video screenshots, and a full video of the confrontation audio to help authorities locate him, and asked anyone who spots Alexander Mudanyaki in Mexico or the United States to contact police.1:24
