The route traverses mountainous terrain featuring pine forestry before transitioning to flatter landscapes dominated by sugarcane fields near Lambasa. The Lambasa market displays a strong Indian cultural influence, evidenced by the availability of various spices and local tobacco leaf. The return bus to Savu Savu was crowded with students during the Friday afternoon commute.
