James, sailing the 1965 Albert 30 sloop *Triteia*, anchored at North Belitung, Indonesia, to address a fuel leak and storm damage. During a 35-mile passage, the engine consumed double the expected fuel, and upon arrival, he discovered diesel spraying from a ruptured hose between the secondary fuel filter and the high-pressure pump.16:05 He identified a small hole in the hose and performed a field repair by applying JB Weld epoxy putty over the breach, covering it with a section of split marine fuel line, and securing the assembly with hose clamps.18:50 He plans to let the epoxy cure overnight before testing the engine.25:21 Additionally, the storm caused the boat's bow chocks to rip off, damaging the teak tow rails on both sides; he currently routes the snubber through the bow roller as a temporary measure.14:08 He intends to remain at the anchorage for a week to explore the local granite formations and coral reefs while monitoring the engine repair.
