The most significant structural change is the Hydrovane mounting.14:06 In the last race, the transom flexed enough to shear the mounting bolts; Guillou rebuilt the attachment by angling the lower tubes outward to the hull sides and adding an internal fiberglass laminate that ties the fixing bolts into the topsides rather than the unsupported transom skin.15:07 He carries three complete Hydrovane units plus all spare hardware.17:05
Forward sail inventory shifted from a furling tacker to a roller-furled medium genoa, supplemented by a long-luff staysail reaching the masthead for a maxi genoa on a snap shackle (used to 12â13 knots), a 115 mÂČ symmetric spinnaker, an 83 mÂČ small spinnaker, and an asymmetric for autopilot-friendly deep angles.2:48 All halyards run to the masthead; all lines lead aft under a cockpit coachroof canopy that was already aboard in 2022 and is now permitted under 2026 rules.9:03
