Hva denne videoen dekker

Repairing water-damaged cabin sole panels requires removing delaminated laminate and punky wood before filling voids with either water-resistant wood filler or thickened epoxy. For superficial damage, scraping away loose laminate and filling the resulting depressions with water-resistant wood filler provides a functional, if not aesthetic, repair. When rot penetrates deeper than the laminate, cutting a 5mm-deep channel with a table saw and inlaying a strip of teak creates a more structurally sound repair.1:33 For larger or deeper patches, mixing West System 105 resin and 205 hardener with colloidal silica and fine teak sawdust creates a durable, sandable filler that mimics the color of the surrounding wood.12:35 After filling, the panels require thorough sanding with an orbital sander and multiple coats of varnish to seal the surface.6:17 Removing embedded sand and salt from porous wood with a rasp or straightedge before applying filler prevents future delamination and ensures a smooth finish.6:07
