Hva denne videoen dekker
The crew of Doodles, a classic yacht, completes a 60-mile open-ocean passage from the Eleutheras to Little Harbor in the Abacos. With zero wind, the transit requires a nine-hour motor. Before departing, the crew secures the dinghy on deck rather than towing it to prepare for the open-ocean conditions. Upon arrival at Little Harbor, the crew encounters shallow entrance depths that prevent entry into the inner harbor, forcing them to anchor in the Outer Harbor. The anchor requires multiple attempts to set properly in the calm conditions. The crew later joins friends aboard a Leopard 48 for cocktails before heading ashore to Pete's Pub and Gallery. Earlier in the Eleutheras, the crew spends four hours fishing for tuna from a 39-foot center console boat using live bait. The passage highlights the necessity of deck-stowing a dinghy for longer offshore crossings and the importance of checking local depth charts for shallow harbor entrances in the Abacos.
