The crew inspects two sailboats in Florida while searching for a full-time liveaboard vessel. At Vero City Beach Marina, they evaluate an Oceanic 46 but reject the boat after discovering significant engine oil leaks during a pre-purchase inspection. They subsequently tour a Brewer 44, noting its cleaner interior, functional washer-dryer unit, and a solid deck, which they contrast against the water-damaged deck of a previously inspected Brewer 44. After completing a self-inspection of the Brewer 44’s house batteries, generator, and interior layout, the crew submits an offer on the vessel. Between boat viewings, the crew snorkels at the Blue Heron Bridge in Palm Beach and visits John D. MacArthur Beach State Park in North Palm Beach. The search for a reliable, budget-friendly sailboat continues as they await a response to their offer.
