The crew of the yacht reality anchors in Ekincik Bay, Turkey, after an overnight passage from Marmaris. The bay offers protection from forecast westerly winds of up to 24 knots, with the vessel anchored in six meters of water on 54 meters of chain. From this base, the crew takes a local excursion boat for a five-hour trip up the Dalyan River to visit the ancient ruins of Kaunos and Turtle Beach. The river entrance is narrow and shallow, requiring careful navigation to avoid grounding. The Turkish coastline in this region is characterized by lush, forested mountains, contrasting with the more barren Greek islands. The crew plans to continue their transit toward Gocek, utilizing the bay as a quiet alternative to the busy nightlife of Marmaris.
