The owners of the sailboat Meraki have listed the vessel for sale as they begin a transition back to land-based life after three years and 15,000 miles of cruising.7:18 The family, currently based in Fiji near Nadi, intends to continue sailing and maintaining the boat until a buyer is found.9:52 Recent upgrades to the vessel include a new Rolly Tasker jib and a C420 furler, which features integrated foam for improved sail shape when reefed.5:11 The owners report that the new sail provides more area and a lower center of gravity than their previous setup.5:34 Previous refit projects on the boat include the installation of 1,200 watts of solar power on a stainless steel arch, a 12-volt Nova Cool fridge, and replacement of the 112-gallon aluminum fuel tank and 112-gallon polyethylene water tank.11:24 The boat is currently listed through a broker, with the owners continuing to cruise the Fiji islands in the interim.9:26
