The island of Badija, located near Korčula, Croatia, features the 14th-century Church of Our Lady Mercy and an adjacent monastery. The monastery complex, which underwent extensive renovations between 2016 and the present, is now open to the public for a 20 kuna entry fee. Visitors can tour the historic architecture, view ancient burial sites, and walk through a vineyard located behind the monastery grounds. A prominent feature within the church is a large wooden crucifix. The island serves as a popular anchorage for yachts, including the vessel Starlight, which can be moored nearby for access to the site. The surrounding waters are frequently used for swimming and recreational diving from boat decks.
