Steve and Alex, the builders of the 38-foot wooden sailboat *Arabella*, are organizing a tool donation drive to support Sail Cargo, a shipyard project in Costa Rica.0:11 Sail Cargo is currently constructing *Ceiba*, a 148-foot wooden cargo ship built from sustainably sourced timber, and operates a boatyard called Astillero Verde that provides community boatbuilding and trade education.2:16 The *Acorn to Arabella* team, along with a group of shipwrights and blacksmiths, plans to travel to Costa Rica in February to establish a blacksmithing curriculum for local residents.1:59 The initiative aims to provide locals with the skills and equipment necessary to manufacture their own tools.4:09 The team is collecting woodworking, metalworking, and blacksmithing tools—including anvils, forges, tongs, hammers, and chisels—along with personal protective equipment.4:38 Donations must arrive in Western Massachusetts by November 20 to be included in a shipping container bound for the project.4:58
