Vince applies a new name and hailing port to the boat, Nervous- Starting Over!, designating Annapolis, United States, as the official hailing port. During the process, he attempts to heat-shrink electrical connectors using a butane lighter. He finds that the metal components retain heat, causing burns to his thumb, and concludes that a long-reach grill lighter provides better distance from the flame. After completing the first connection, he discovers a slit in the heat-shrink tubing, likely caused by the crimping tool during the initial installation. He determines that the damaged tubing compromises the waterproof seal and decides to return to Beale Hardware Store to purchase replacement materials. The project requires multiple trips to the hardware store to ensure the electrical connections are properly sealed against moisture.
