This index is built by one sailor and a great deal of software. It carries no ads, sells no one’s attention, and answers to no one but the people who use it. Founding Sailors are the reason it can stay that way.
The index is, and will remain, free to use. This is for the people who want to see it grow faster — more channels understood, more languages, more of the hard questions answered — and who’d rather fund that directly than watch it get sold to whoever pays the most for your data.

It isn’t a paywall. Nothing already here goes behind a gate because you didn’t join. It isn’t a donation drive with a progress bar and a guilt trip. It’s a straightforward way to back work you find useful, from someone who’d rather answer to sailors than to advertisers.
