What this video covers
A 1984 Baltic 35 named Karelia (hull delivered by Berthon in 1986, when Berthon was the Baltic agent) is for sale and berthed at Lymington marina.1:17 The boat underwent a full refit at HYS in 2011 covering new paint and new decks, and has since been maintained annually by Berthon Boat Company.1:23 The previous owner had also owned a Sweden Yachts, indicating a consistent preference for Scandinavian performance cruisers.3:11 On deck: a Reckman furler, twin-spreader powder-coated rig from Spar Craft, aluminium toe rail, teak-laid decks, large-diameter wheel, transom boarding ladder, and a plotter on the pedestal pod.2:05 The Mulle Rörlick-designed hull sailed on the West Solent in light air and drew favorable comment for its effortless motion.1:37 Below, the interior follows Baltic's standard of satin-varnished teak veneer, solid teak trim, and teak-and-holly sole.4:33 Layout includes a saloon, port galley with pressurized hot and cold water and a two-burner gas oven, a forward-facing nav station to starboard with switch panel, VHF, stereo, and plotter, a bow double berth with overhead hatch, a GRP-and-teak heads compartment, and an offset double aft under the cockpit.5:09
