The Gemini 3400 is a 10.1-meter masthead sloop catamaran designed by Tony Smith and built by Performance Cruising Inc. from 1993 to 1996. It features a twin centerboard hull, a 4.3-meter beam, and a displacement of 3628 kg. The 3400 was the first Gemini model to incorporate molded transom steps and a new kick-up rudder system, with kick-up centerboards housed in fixed keels that protect the rudders from grounding.2:38 Its shallow draft, which can vary from 1.5 to 5.5 feet with retractable centerboards, allows access to shallow anchorages.4:37 The Gemini 3400 is known for its affordability and trailerability, fitting into standard monohull marina slips.3:11 It is the predecessor to the Gemini 105.2:31
