The Grand SOLEIL 52 LC is a 17.1-meter fractional sloop designed by Marco Lostuzzi and built by Cantiere del Pardo since 2018. It features a fin keel with a bulb and a spade rudder, displacing 16,899 kg.6:38 The hull is constructed using a vinylester-epoxy resin infusion process with hand-laminated sandwich construction, incorporating a single-skin laminate in the keel area for structural integrity.7:33 Internal composite structures are bonded and tabbed to the hull to maximize rigidity, and structural bulkheads and a perimeter bulwark mitigate hull torsion.8:57 The design includes a single large rudder, four independent stainless steel water tanks located centerline below the waterline, and a dual-fuel tank system with a central daily tank.2:54 The deck layout features a deep chain locker and wide side decks.5:33 Below deck, the interior offers three cabins and three heads, with the owner’s cabin featuring a full-beam layout.6:20 The boat is powered by a 75-horsepower Yanmar engine, achieving cruising speeds between 8.4 and 8.6 knots.21:31 Under sail, it has reached speeds of 14 to 15 knots in heavy conditions.19:50
