The Hunter Marine 35 LEGEND is a fractional sloop with a fin keel and spade rudder, built by Hunter Marine from 1986 to 1989. It measures 10.8 meters LOA, with a 3.6-meter beam, 2.0-meter draft, and 5488 kg displacement. A slightly modified version, the Hunter Marine 35.5 LEGEND, was produced from 1989 to 1995, featuring a solid fiberglass hull with an internal fiberglass grid system.2:43 The 35.5 LEGEND has a shallow 4-foot-6-inch winged bulb keel and a 7/8 fractional rig with double spreaders.4:07 A Harken furling drum is mounted below deck in the anchor locker on the 35.5 LEGEND.4:51 The interior of the 35.5 LEGEND offers 6-foot-3-inch headroom, a J-shaped galley, and a roomy aft cabin, though storage beneath the settees is limited by the shallow hull.7:43 The 35.5 LEGEND performs well in coastal waters, but its shallow-draft rudder can struggle with control in winds exceeding 18 knots, requiring early reefing.7:14 Owners should inspect the balsa-cored deck for water penetration, a common issue for boats of this era.13:31
