The Island PACKET 380 is a 12.1-meter cutter-rigged sailboat with a long keel, designed by Robert K. Johnson and built by Island Packet Yachts from 1998 to 2004. Its full-foil keel, a design by Johnson, uses NACA airfoil sections to provide tracking stability and gentle motion with a draft of less than five feet, while generating hydrodynamic lift. The hull is a one-piece, hand-laminated solid fiberglass molding with no keel bolts, featuring triaxial knitted laminate and a proprietary Polyclad gel coat system. The Island PACKET 380 has a displacement of 9525 kg and a beam of 4.0 meters.10:58
