Design & history

The Islander 36 was one of the most successful models from Islander Yachts, with nearly 800 boats built. Molds were reportedly purchased by Newport Offshore Yachts in 1986, though it is unknown if any boats were built after that date.

Production

Nearly 800 boats built by Islander Yachts. Delivered with a variety of engines over time: Universal Atomic 4 (Gas), Palmer P-60 (Gas), Perkins 4-108 (Diesel), Westerbeke L-25 (Diesel), Pathfinder (Diesel), and Yanmar (Diesel). Molds reportedly purchased by Newport Offshore Yachts of CA, USA in 1986; unknown if any boats were built after that date.
