Built from 2015 to the present, it features a fin with bulb and spade rudder hull, a 4.2-meter beam, a 2.2-meter draft, and displaces 7950 kg. Aboard an Italia Yachts 12.98, a crew of twelve, including rigger Lars Henrik Hjellestad, completed the 2024 Sydney Hobart Race, finishing in approximately three days and ten hours after encountering 45-knot winds and 6-meter seas.watch The boat underwent nearly ten weeks of preparation in Sydney to meet Category 1 safety standards, including Dyneema reinforcement on running rigging and mast-retention systems, and qualified through the Bird Island Race and Cabbage Tree Island Race.15:24 The Italia Yachts 12.98 was also displayed at the 64th Genoa Boat Show.watch
