The Pogo 2 is a 6.5-meter fractional sloop designed by FINOT-CONQ and built by EREAL.STRUCTURES and Open Sailing Inc. since 2001. It features a fin keel with a bulb and dual rudders, a 3.0-meter beam, 1.6-meter draft, and 1000 kg displacement. Jonas Muro Gomes chose a Pogo 2 for the Mini Transat, a solo transatlantic race from France to Guadeloupe, citing the model's reputation for reliability and structural integrity.19:58 Gomes completed the first leg to the Canary Islands in 11 days and the second leg in 17 days.29:37 He used his Merchant Marine experience for navigation, including paper chart plotting, radar, and AIS to avoid commercial traffic, noting that small fishing vessels presented a greater collision risk.31:22
