A couple living aboard a Lagoon 410 in Portimao, Portugal, performs extensive maintenance and repairs while hauled out at a shipyard.0:01 The crew addresses a recurring issue with the rudder bearings by cleaning the bronze bushings and bonding them to the stainless steel sleeves using epoxy to eliminate play.1:56 They replace a leaking 40-liter Quick Nautic Boiler B3, adding ball valves to the cooling and water lines to allow for future maintenance without draining the entire system.14:28 The project list includes repairing UV-damaged metallic paint, installing a new gennaker pole with a compression-based mounting system, and upgrading dinghy wheel axles to prevent sinking in sand.1:38 The crew also replaces a failed masthead anchor light with a new tricolor lantern to improve visibility and avoid light glare on the gennaker.18:42 Additionally, they test a new grease-based propeller coating, Prop-Shield, after a silicone-based product failed to adhere to the propeller blades.8:41 A final inspection of the stainless steel anchor chain reveals localized pitting, requiring further attention before relaunching.20:25
