The Lagoon 410 is a 12.4-meter fractional sloop catamaran designed by Van Petheghem, Lauriot-Prevost, and Van Peteghem, built by Beneteau and CNB in France from 1997 to 2006. It has a twin keel hull, an 8.0-meter beam, a 1.2-meter draft, and displaces 7239 kg. The Lagoon 410 replaced the US-built Lagoon 42, and an updated version was later released as the Lagoon 410-S2. Aboard *Sailing Suria*, a Lagoon 410 S2 named *Suria* has been sailed extensively in the Mediterranean and Atlantic, including a 450-nautical-mile passage from Portimão, Portugal, to Porto Santo, averaging 6.6 knots.4:10 The crew has navigated orca risk zones, experienced heavy slamming in beam swells, and managed watch schedules during multi-day passages.2:34 They have performed repairs such as clearing a blocked holding-tank drain, replacing a watermaker run capacitor, and installing a Starlink system by repurposing a wind generator mount. *Suria* has wintered in protected anchorages like Porto Heli, Greece, described as a "hurricane hole," and has been anchored in Sliema Bay, Malta, where mooring buoys are scarce.15:27 The crew has addressed maintenance tasks including replacing starter batteries and dinghy propellers, and renewing deteriorated side windows and a helm-station skylight.15:32
