The crew of the boat Spectre faces simultaneous mechanical failures while anchored in the Bahamas. A fitting on the Spectra water maker’s membrane housing cracks, causing a brine discharge leak. Jeremiah attempts a temporary repair using epoxy and duct tape to seal the fitting. Simultaneously, the boat’s generator overheats and shuts down after being overloaded by an air fryer. With battery levels at 50% and water reserves at 50%, the crew considers moving to a marina for repairs. Jeremiah attempts to troubleshoot the generator by inspecting the water pump and hose leading to the strainer, while also preparing to switch to a backup generator to maintain power. The crew notes that both the water maker and the generator have been recurring sources of maintenance issues.
