Qué cubre este vídeo
The crew of the converted fishing trawler *Brupeg* is finalizing the installation of custom stabilizers, known as "wings," designed to deploy from the vessel's sides. The project involves mounting slider arms into tracks on the hull, which are secured by custom-fabricated metal plugs to prevent the arms from dislodging during operation. To facilitate the installation, the team is drilling 20mm holes into the steel wings using a magnetic drill and an annular cutter, a method chosen to avoid the excessive wear caused by using standard battery drills on high-tensile steel.
The team is also addressing mechanical challenges with the roof-mounted winches, which previously failed due to corrosion. While hydraulic winches are considered the ideal upgrade, the crew is currently utilizing the existing gearboxes driven by a battery drill as a temporary solution. Additionally, the team is removing seized M30 high-tensile steel studs from stainless steel blocks using a large pipe wrench and diesel as a penetrating lubricant.
