Qué cubre este vídeo
The Golden Globe Race fleet faces varied tactical challenges as leaders approach Cape Horn and trailing sailors navigate contrary winds and barnacle-related speed loss. Mark Sinclair, currently 600 miles from Cape Horn, faces a developing storm system near the coast that may force him to seek shelter in a fjord to avoid heavy weather. Jean-Luc Van Den Heede must decide whether to sail east of the Falkland Islands to catch following breezes or attempt a riskier inside route that risks headwinds from a South Atlantic high-pressure system. Meanwhile, Tapio Lehtinen remains trapped by contrary winds near the Bounty Islands, struggling with slow progress and light, shifting headwinds. Further back, Igor Zoffoli and Mark Sinclair are nearing their respective destinations of Albany and Adelaide to haul out, clean barnacles from their hulls, and resupply. Susie Goodall and Uku Randmaa continue to race in the middle of the fleet, managing light southerly winds and potential squalls while maintaining distance from the race's no-go zone.
