Qué cubre este vídeo
Javi, owner of the vessel, experienced a near-grounding incident while anchored in a bay with a mud bottom.1:34 Despite deploying 35 meters of chain in 6 meters of water, the Rocna anchor failed to hold, causing the boat to drag toward a marina breakwater.1:34 A nearby catamaran crew alerted Javi and his partner, who were unaware of the movement while resting below deck.2:25 Upon retrieval, the anchor came up fouled with a large clump of hard, compacted earth, suggesting the anchor could not penetrate the substrate.3:10 To prevent future incidents, Javi now utilizes the anchor alarm on his Furuno GP32 GPS, which he describes as highly effective, alongside his existing Boat Track SMS-based monitoring system.5:26 He has also increased the volume and changed the alert tone on his mobile phone to ensure he receives notifications immediately.5:06 The incident serves as a reminder that even reliable ground tackle can fail in challenging bottom conditions and that overconfidence in equipment can lead to dangerous situations.
