Qué cubre este vídeo
Darcy completes his IYT Captain’s license practical exam in St Martin, passing the final assessment after training at the Maritime School of the West Indies. While preparing to depart on their Sunreef 62, named Supernova, the crew encounters multiple mechanical setbacks, including a failed windlass solenoid and a delayed inverter installation. During these repairs, a neighboring steel vessel strikes the port bow of Supernova while maneuvering in the marina, causing visible damage to the hull's vinyl wrap. The crew plans to peel back the vinyl to inspect the underlying fiberglass for structural damage and intends to pursue an insurance claim if necessary. Despite the collision and ongoing maintenance projects, including measuring the hulls for a future wrap replacement and upgrading to a 70-kilogram Rocna anchor, the crew remains focused on completing their refit tasks before their rescheduled departure.
