Qué cubre este vídeo
Refitting the former fishing trawler *Brupeg* involves extensive structural and cosmetic work in preparation for launch. The crew is installing ultra-high-density polyethylene (UHDP) strips as sliders for the vessel's stabilizer wings to prevent steel-on-steel wear and corrosion. To improve the mechanism, Damien reduced the slider thickness from 4mm to 3mm and decreased the pin diameter from 32mm to 30mm to eliminate binding. During testing, a wing cable failed due to slack in the line and a nylon pulley cutting through a 12mm pin; the team is upgrading the system with a steel pulley and a 20mm pin to prevent future mechanical failure.
Additional projects include TIG-welding stainless steel fresh water piping, painting the wheelhouse and engine vents in a two-tone gray scheme, and custom-fitting an editing desk to the 85-degree angle of the deck.11:25 The crew also manages repairs on a guest’s aircraft, replacing a broken battery master switch. Proper tool maintenance, specifically sharpening drill bits and using high-tensile bolts to prevent galling in stainless steel, remains critical to completing these modifications.
